James Harden has spoken up on staying up with rappers Meek Mill, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk before heading to practice. According to Harden in a recent interview, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk hit him up at 2 in the morning, and he stayed up with them all night till he left for practice.
Vladtv has more on James Harden’s recent interview.
During a recent interview, Harden talked about the time he spent with the rappers, even going as far as saying he stayed up all night with the artists.
Harden went on to say, “They all called me like, ‘Yo, we about to pull up to Houston.’ Baby, Durk, Meek.” He continued saying, “They all come to the house. They land at like 2 in the morning. I gotta go to practice in the morning! They come in the studio, and I’m up with them the whole time.” The idea of having to hit practice early in the morning didn’t deter Harden, with the NBA star saying, “And I go right from the studio at 7:30 a.m. right to practice. I can’t miss this opportunity. They in the studio, I gotta see what these dudes about to talk about.”
While Harden’s involvement with Lil Baby and Lil Durk may seem random, it isn’t, as he was the executive producer of their 2021 album ‘The Voice of the Heroes.’
I am sure the Rockets and NETS are rolling their eyes at this. If Harden could do it and still drop a 30 point triple-double, that is fine, but others believe this lifestyle has caught up with him and led to injuries and decreased numbers. So far, with the Sixers, though, he has looked like the old Harden, so maybe he just needed to find the proper fit before he could flourish again.
