NFL Reporter Annie Agar has reacted to Twitter folks digging up her old derogatory and racist tweets after making a joke aimed at the Jaguars fan base. She has rendered an apology following the resurfacing of her old racist tweets. You don’t throw jokes around when you aren’t digitally clean.
Total Pro Sports has more on Annie Agar and Jaguar fanbase Twitter back and forth.
All it took was for Annie Agar to tell a joke aimed at the Jaguars fan base and everything turned upside down for her.
The fan base fired back by digging through her Twitter account and unearthing a ton of terrible tweets from the popular sports reporter, who went viral for her “meeting” videos on Twitter.
Annie Agar’s apology read:
“I want to apologize for the insensitive tweets from my past. They were written when I was a teenager and do not reflect who I am today. I have the utmost respect for the athletes and teams I cover. I hope you can forgive teenage me and we can get back to laughing together again”
No one is safe on social media. It doesn’t matter when you wrote the Tweets. If you clown the wrong person, they will find you. Her apology was a standard one, and frankly, you never know if someone is telling the truth about something like this. The Kaepernick tweets weren’t that long ago. Has she ever said anything in support of Kap since then? Did she speak out about what happened on Jan 6th?
The lucky thing for her is that being racist won’t get you fired, mainly because many people running these media companies feel the same way she does behind closed doors, so I don’t expect any type of punishment for her.
