There is drama in the house of God — and it got to do with Islandton Church of God of Prophesy kicking their pianist Brooke Herndon out of the church after 13 years of being their pianist. Brooke’s membership only wasn’t terminated, she got her recent tithe of $500 refunded to her.
Brooke Herndon shared the termination letter on social media, and it has gone viral on the internet with massive reactions. What’s Brooke’s offense here?
According to the church, she got separated from her husband Josh without a good cause, with her reason being that she wanted to be in a relationship with another man.
Also, Brooke continued to post un-Christian and indecent pictures and messages on social media and criticized “many of our church family” negatively. She also refused counsel or advice from her husband, pastor, and “your close church family,” who really care about her and have tried helping her.
So, these are the above reasons why Islandton Church of God of Prophesy has kicked out Brooke Herndon and refunded her recent $500 tithe.
BSO monitored Brooke’s Facebook page, and yes, it’s full of drama and posts directly to hitting hard at both the church and its head, Bishop George McLaughlin. My favorite part is her accusing the Bishop of watching her twerk videos. This is all hilarious to me and sounds more like a Tyler Perry movie than real life. I wonder how many more of the congregation was looking at Herndon’s risque videos and how many men has she cheated on her husband with since they have been together?
You know things are bad when the church is returning the money. They never do that. It was a very well-written letter, but now Mrs. Herndon is burning down the HOUSE OF GOD!!! Someone isn’t going to heaven, I just don’t know who.
