Jim Thome’s wife Andrea Thome isn’t backing down on her support for women who were allegedly assaulted s*xually by Deshaun Watson and in her latest tweet, she shared a note from one of Watson’s alleged victims. Sharing the note, Andrea wrote;
“I wouldn’t wish the last 48 hours on anyone, but this letter is why it was worth it. I stand by my decision and none of the threats, name-calling, false-accusations or character assassination makes any difference. Other peoples opinion of me is none of my business.”
The note from one of Watson’s alleged victims reads;
“Anyone who says that you are virtue-signaling or that it ‘doesn’t matter’ is wrong,” the woman writes in the note. “It matters to me. Any tweet or comment I see that speaks against sexual violence against women is one more reason for me to keep going and not feel utterly hopeless.
“I have been at my lowest point the last couple of weeks, and I just wanted to say thank you.”
According to Side Action;
Watson is facing 22 ongoing civil lawsuit that alleging sexual misconduct. Watson has maintained his innocence and denied any wrongdoing at the Friday press conference, saying:
“I know these allegations are very, very serious, but I’ve never assaulted any woman. I’ve never disrespected any woman.”
Watson could still face a suspension from the NFL upon the conclusion of the league-led investigation into the cases, but there is no timetable.
This case like a lot of cases like this that end up strictly in a civil suit is about who you believe. It would be helpful if either Watson or his accusers had some smoking-gun evidence, but neither do. It is all about who story you belive. Watson has made it clear that if anything freaky happened it was 100% consensual and the accusers says he was a creep that forced them into uncomfortable situations.
A lot of people side with Watson and a lot of people side with the accusers.
