Despite all the family drama he’s going through Kanye is having a great year musically.
He put out a very successful album and he’s the headliner for this year’s Coachella.
The latter part has upset a lot of people though. Even though lots of people can’t wait to see him on stage at Coachella there are some that don’t want him anywhere near the stage.
So much so that there is now a petition to remove him as the headliner. The organizer of the petition has the name of Kim Pete so it’s safe to say the person is a Kim Kardashian fan and said that organizers should be ashamed for giving Kanye more of a platform to spew hate towards Kim and Pete.
Here is how it is described.
We have watched Kanye harass, manipulate, and hurt Kim, Pete, and others for over a year now. No one seems to want to stand up to him, and the ones that do, he puts under fire as well. Most recently, he has been threatening actual bodily harm on others. This is ridiculous that he is allowed to freely do this. Coachella (along with other brand names that are still working with him) should be ashamed of themselves and should not be giving him any more of a platform. Please sign & share!
The petition has over 4000 signees and they’re looking for 5000. Not sure that’s enough to remove him.
It will be interesting to see how Coachella will react if Kanye keeps it up. What if they see him practicing a set where he does harm to a Pete Davidson look-a-like will the step in?
In general, people just want to listen to Kanye’s music, but he might be wanting to make a statement and who knows what he might end up doing.
It is something to keep an eye on.
