Former Michael Jordan teammate B.J. Armstrong made an appearance on Rex Chapman’s podcast where he talked about the NBA legend’s crazy lifestyle tagging him as “the greatest practice player of all-time”.
“If he would have slept, we don’t how good he really would have been. We didn’t see the best of Michael Jordan because he didn’t sleep for 14 years literally.”
Watching him play 35-40 minutes, and then come to practice with the same energy… and you’re like ‘Wait a minute, this isn’t normal.’ … He was the greatest practice player I’ve ever seen. … I’ve never seen someone this competitive and it’s always on. It’s always on.
BJ didn’t want to say too much about what MJ was doing off the court.
“I don’t want to tell too much… But you’re like ‘I was at the same place he was at and I’m a little tired today,’ [laughs]. And then all of the sudden, when Phil Jackson would blow the whistle, this guy’s like he got 10 hours of sleep. And he didn’t eat.
So you’ve got a guy who didn’t sleep, he didn’t eat, … he’s doing whatever he’s doing at night… and you’re like ‘How?!’
Don’t show this to Scottie Pippen he might have another comment like this.
Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan are reportedly not friends anymore after Scottie trashed him in his memoir. They had the perfect opportunity to quash their beef at the top 75 NBA players of all-time at the All-Star Game but Scottie didn’t show up. Scottie’s absence got people thinking and seeking answers.
And it seems ‘Lord Zito’ of the Pat McAfee Show has answers to why Scottie Pippen couldn’t show up at the all-star game. Zito claims that Scottie refused to attend the all-star game because he didn’t want any smoke from Michael Jordan.
