Will Smith on Having a Vision That Jada Pinkett Would Destroy His Career Before He Slapped Chris Rock

Will Smith now wants to tell the world that he knew his career was going to be destroyed after slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars to please his wife Jada Pinkett. According to him, while tripping on ayahuasca, he had a vision about his enviable career getting destroyed. And it’s true as we are now seeing his career going down the drain after the Oscars slap.

Cosmopolitan has got more;

Will Smith has claimed he had a premonition that his career would be “destroyed” whilst he was tripping on ayahuasca – a psychoactive herbal drink with powerful hallucinogenic properties – before the now-infamous incident in which he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, resulting in his resignation from the Academy.

Speaking to host David Letterman on the most recent episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Smith recalled having a vision that his home, money and career would be taken from him during a two year period in which he tried the psychedelic drug 14 times.

“Once you drink it you’re going to see yourself in a way you’ve never seen yourself,” he said, adding that, “One of the experiences was the individual most hellish psychological experience of my life.”

Smith went on: “I drank, and it usually takes about 45 minutes to kick in. And I’m sitting there and you always feel like, ‘Maybe it won’t kick in this time.’ So I’m drinking and sitting there and then all of a sudden it’s like I start seeing all of my money flying away, and my house is flying away and my career is going away.”

The actor says he began to panic and tried to “grab” for his money and career. “My whole life is getting destroyed,” he said of the vision, which he described as his worst fear becoming a reality. “This is my fear in real life, and I’m in there and I’m wanting to vomit and all of that, and I hear a voice saying: ‘This is what the f**k it is. This is what the f**k life is.'”

During the trip, the 53-year-old explained he heard his daughter Willow calling out for help, which he says put things into perspective. “Then slowly I stopped caring about my money, I just wanted to get to Willow. I stopped caring about my house, I stopped caring about my career,” he added.

“When I came out of it, I realised that anything that happens in my life, I can handle it,” the actor revealed of the outcome. “I can handle any person I lose, I can handle anything that goes wrong in my life, I can handle anything in my marriage. I can handle anything that this life has to offer me.”

Jada Pinkett Smith should be blamed for Will Smith’s career hitting the rocks.
