Ben Simmons Shows No Signs of Back Injury While Playing Pool at NFT Event

Photos of Ben Simmons playing pool at an NFT event in NYC have gone viral with some folks claiming he’s now well with no back problems. Now that he’s playing pool, he’s likely to hit the camp for training in the coming weeks.

According to Side Action;

Ben Simmons is back!

The Brooklyn Nets star didn’t play a single second this past season, either for the 76ers or for the Nets after the Nets acquired him at the trade deadline. The three-time All-Star had successful microdiscectomy surgery at Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital in Los Angeles back on May 5th.

Less than two months later, the former Rookie of the Year was spotted playing pool at an NFT event in New York City.

Hopefully Simmons is right on schedule to be ready for training camp, but with him you really never know.

It appears for the time being Simmons will be playing with KD and Kyrie.

For most of the day, a lot of Laker fans got excited at the potential of Kyrie Irving joining the team after Kyrie was reportedly granted permission to seek a sign and trade and Adrian Wojnarowski said that the Lakers were the only team that was interested.

It was either going to be a sign and trade or him opting out of his $36.5 million contract and signing with the Lakers for their $6 million exceptions.

Kyrie had other plans because he has now opted into his contract for next season and will return to the Nets making it a little tougher for the Lakers to get him. He can still be traded but that seems unlikely.

It also makes sense for the Nets because they don’t have control of their own draft pick until 2028 at the earliest so rebuilding would have been tough.

For now, Kyrie Irving will be a Brooklyn Net.
