Chris Rock has obviously forgotten about the hefty slap Will Smith landed on his face during the Oscars for joking about his wife Jada Pinkett’s bald head as he was spotted at the Cardinals baseball game with actress, screenwriter, and director Lake Bell.
According to TMZ Sports;
The comedian and actress were in a box together Monday night at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, watching a Cardinals game. They were spotted by eagle-eyed fans, who got them on camera together at different points in the evening … including in this video, obtained by TMZ.
No signs of PDA, but they were definitely sitting together … and seemed interested in maintaining a relatively low profile. We’re told Chris did an on-camera interview at one point, and LB stepped away so she wouldn’t be seen in the shot.
Chris has been performing comedy shows there lately, and it seems Lake is along for the ride. They’re both single, and relatively fresh off of long-term marriages in recent years.
It’s been about 3 months since CR got smacked across the face by Will Smith, and by all accounts … he’s doing just fine. Not only has he continued to work, but he now seems to have a new lady friend (maybe).
There were no signs of PDA so let’s assume Chris Rock and Lake Bell are just friends having some fun moments just like friends do. Rock might be a milkman, but he is enjoying his life after clowning Jada Pinkett for trying to manipulate him to go on Red Table Talk.
Rock declined to address the matter at his standup events, leaving the door open for everyone from Ricky Gervais to Shaquille O’Neal to weigh in on what happened… and what happens next. Well, following a call from Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, for Chris Rock and Smith to “talk this out and reconcile,” the former SNL star and mainstream comic has let his feelings be known. Basically, Smith shouldn’t be sitting by his phone.
While Chris Rock remains silent on the matter – at least in the public eye – a source close to Rock told ET Online the following:
He’s not concerned with the Smiths at the moment. He’s touring and he’s preparing for a comedy special.
As well he should. One of the healthiest ways to work through a very public event like that would be to keep working. And for Chris Rock, thankfully, he had a comedy tour on his schedule following the Academy Awards, so he was able to get right back into his comfort zone – namely, being on a stage and making jokes. And, hopefully, not getting struck by an audience member for the words that he uses.
