Olivia Culpo has revealed what the love of her life Christian McCaffrey wanted for his 26th birthday and according to her, all he wanted was “a cozy night” with her.
According to the New York Post;
The Panthers running back, who turned 26 on Tuesday, enjoyed a home-cooked meal with Culpo, 30, and their adorable pup, Oliver Sprinkles, according to a series of Instagram Stories shared on the model’s page.
“All Christian wanted to do for his birthday was cook together,” Culpo shared in one post, later joking that “cooking together” meant McCaffrey snoozing on the couch with the couple’s four-legged friend.
Culpo, who has been dating McCaffrey for nearly three years, appeared to gift the Pro Bowler a bottle of champagne and sweet treats for his special day. The twosome all capped off their evening by watching the latest season of “Stranger Things” in bed.
Earlier in the day Tuesday, Culpo posted a sweet birthday tribute to McCaffrey on Instagram, calling him “the most dependable, inspiring, thoughtful + grounding” person she knows.
“It’s someone’s birthday!! I love you so much Christian. You are the most dependable, inspiring, thoughtful, + grounding person and I feel so lucky to call you mine,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit stunner gushed of McCaffrey, who replied, “I love you!”
I hope she still got him a gift. Men don’t really mean that when we say we don’t want anything for our birthdays it is just a manly thing to say.
Get the man an air fryer or something. A nice watch, maybe some slippers.
Culpo and McCaffrey have been together for a minute now. He still might be on the trading block.
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey isn’t on the trading block, but the team has fielded more than one call for the former All-Pro back who’s dealt with several injuries since signing his record-breaking extension in 2020, multiple league sources told me during and after the NFL scouting combine.
If a team wishes to add McCaffrey, I’m told the Panthers would be looking for a first-round pick plus another piece of compensation in order to ship one of the most versatile offensive weapons in the NFL today.
McCaffrey signed a record-breaking four-year, $64 million deal with Carolina in 2020, shortly after the start of the pandemic. This came after franchise icons like Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis and Greg Olsen all left for various reasons. Amid the tectonic shift in Charlotte, owner David Tepper looked to keep a face of the franchise in place.
But since that deal, McCaffrey has unfortunately served as reinforcement for the “never pay running backs” crowd. He’s missed 23 out of 33 games since Carolina made him the highest-paid running back in the NFL.
