Socialite Jasmine Hartin Says She Has No Idea How She Shot Her Cop Friend While They Were Alone on Pier

Do you remember the name Jasmine Hartin? The Canadian socialite who shot and killed a Belize cop?

If you aren’t familiar with the case, Hartin shot and killed Belize police superintendent Henry Jemmott last May while the two were alone on a pier. Jemmott was shot behind the ear with his gun late at night and she said it was an accident. She had allegedly been sexually assaulted a week earlier and Jemmott, who she said was her friend, was urging her to get a gun for her protection.

According to her, he was teaching her how to load a gun on the pier and then it went off killing him.

She’s been charged with manslaughter with negligence but his family thinks there is more to it.

Now, over a year later, Hartin has done an interview with Piers Morgan talking about what happened that night on the pier and says she doesn’t remember even touching the trigger saying

I don’t remember ever touching that trigger on the gun so I don’t know what happened, to be honest,”

“I was trying to get the clip out and it just went off — I don’t remember ever touching the trigger. So I’m not sure if it was a faulty weapon or not. I really can’t tell you how it went off,”

She also said she thought it was strange that he had the gun with him and hinted that she thought the gun could have been rusty.

The trial is still ongoing.

A lot of people thought they were potentially having an affair and she killed him to make sure that he didn’t expose her to her husband and potentially cost her millions of dollars in a divorce settlement.

The security guard was married as well.

Very strange case.
