The Trade Package The Warriors Might Offer The Nets For Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant shocked the basketball world last week when it was reported that he has asked the Nets for a trade.

The news came after teammate Kyrie Irving opted in to his contract with the team for next season but that doesn’t seem to matter at the moment because KD asked for a trade anyways.

He’s currently a top 3 player at worst if not the best player in the league so the trade package the Nets are going to receive has to be massive. Especially after seeing Rudy Gobert gets traded for so much.

There are a lot of teams interested and at the top are the Suns, Heat, and Raptors. Teams KD has reportedly mentioned he’d like to go to. Another team could get him through and it’s a team he’s very familiar with.

The Warriors.

They are reportedly interested in bringing their 2-time finals MVP back but it will take giving up their future according to Anscape’s Marc J. Spears.

“The one team I’m telling you guys to keep an eye on is the Golden State Warriors,” Spears said. “Golden State could have the best package for both parties. Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, All-Star Andrew Wiggins, the former No. 2 pick James Wiseman. What the Nets want is a young All-Star and want perhaps a future All-Star. They’re all under 30. They also want picks, maybe the ability to swap picks. But if you can get those four players, if I’m the Nets, I’m very, very happy.

“For Kevin Durant, the Warriors — they’re very familiar with [Durant] and vice versa. He knows where to live in San Francisco. He knows how the offense works. He knows he can win a championship there. Yeah, Steve Kerr would probably have to figure some things out. But with each passing day that this carries on, I’ve heard the Warriors have interest in terms of a young haul, in terms of people being happy on both sides. To me, the Golden State option is the best option.”

I don’t think the NBA world needs to revisit this pairing again.
