A newly released photo of James Harden shows he’s slimmed down extremely in the offseason. What’s making him lose so much weight in the offseason? NBA fans have reacted to the pic on Twitter.
According to the TPS;
James Harden made damn sure nobody would be accusing him of being fat or wearing a fat suit during the upcoming NBA season.
A picture is going viral this week showing the Philadelphia 76ers star looking much thinner than we last saw him in the playoffs.
The former MVP Harden battled hamstring issues and weight concerns after he was traded to the 76ers from the Brooklyn Nets. Harden was listed at 220 pounds, and there were even rumors that Harden arrived at training camp out of shape.
Last week, he and the 76ers agreed to a two-year, $68.6 million deal, the second year being a player option. Harden took the pay cut to help the team improve.
Harden is heading into his 14th season in the league, having spent the majority of his career with the Houston Rockets. He was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009 but was traded to Houston in 2012, where he spent nearly nine seasons before being traded to the Nets in 2020.
Harden struggled in the playoff series against the Heat as he averaged just 18.2 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.3 rebounds along with 4.8 turnovers per game.
Depending on how you look at it, Harden took a bit of a pay cut to make sure the Sixers had all the pieces they needed to run at the NBA Finals next year.
It might be now or never for the Beard. The NBA is investigating if any funny business is going on, but they likely won’t find much.
