Chris Rock isn’t saying anything Will Smith hasn’t said about himself.
Will has pointed out on a few occasions how hard it was for him to keep up this fake performance. Will is from West Philly, his dad beat his mom, and he has been through a lot of trauma.
Just because someone smiles, a lot doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of pain under that smile. Bro Bible has Chris Rock finally starting to let loose on Will.
Rock was performing with Dave Chappelle at Liverpool’s M&S Arena for the first night of their multi-date tour. Chappelle asked Rock about the infamous slap, probing: ‘Did that s**t hurt?’
‘Goddam right… the motherf***er hit me over a bulls**t joke, the nicest joke I ever told.
“Will did the impression of a perfect person for 30 years, and he ripped his mask off and showed us he was as ugly as the rest of us,” he added.
“Whatever the consequences are … I hope he doesn’t put his mask back on again and lets his real face breathe,” Rock continued. “I see myself in both men.”
Smith said he zoned out before he hit him.
“I was fogged out by that point. It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk and when he is he will reach out.”
“(Speaking now to Rock) So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”
Meanwhile, Nicole Brown Simpson’s family is mad at Chris.
With that said, Tanya tells us his attempt at humor was distasteful to say the least, and offensive to the extended family … especially since she believes it was totally gratuitous.
What TS wants Chris — and anyone else who might want to invoke Nicole’s murder in their bit — to know is this … there are still surviving family members who are still dealing with her loss to this day, and this type of stuff hits close to home and hurts people.
Tanya says she thinks Chris could’ve used any other analogy to make his point … and didn’t have to punch down to something that doesn’t even relate — coming off as tacky as a result. She believes comedians should be held accountable for what they say, including Chris.
This is all Jada’s fault.
Flip the pages for all the times she has embarrassed Will.
