The New York Post got more;
A woman was busted Thursday for allegedly shooting another woman to death inside a Brooklyn party spot last month — and said she did it because the victim ran over her foot while riding a bicycle, police and sources said.
Deonne Kirkland, 44, was charged with murder for allegedly shooting Tarcia Lysius, 44, in the head on Aug. 28 at the Hearts of Love party space on Liberty Avenue in East New York, according to police.
The shooter said she shot the other woman after a confrontation inside the club, a police source said.
“The victim was riding a bicycle around in the club and ran over the perpetrator’s foot,” the source said.
The two didn’t know each other previously, cops said.
Lysius was taken to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead.
Here is more on Kirkland.
An oft-arrested murder suspect was jailed Friday after a Brooklyn court hearing for gunning down a woman at a birthday party — putting a bullet in her head before fleeing with the victim’s wig and the murder weapon.
Deonne Kirkland, 44, appeared in a neon windbreaker and bright Nike leggings before Criminal Court Judge Simiyon Haniff, who acknowledged the defendant may have a self-defense claim even as he ordered her held without bail in the East New York slaying.
While Kirkland insisted to investigators that she didn’t kill Tarcia Lysius inside the Hearts of Love event space on Aug. 28, Assistant District Attorney Alexander Davis offered a different and deadly version of the wild confrontation where the victim initially wielded a bottle and the accused killer pulled a handgun.
