The video of Ludacris manager Chaka Zulu shooting is out there, and the question is, did he truly commit murder, or was it self-defense? According to reports, the Atlanta police have charged him with murder following the shooting of a man via MTO News;
Ludacris manager Chaka Zuliu is facing murder charges, after the Atlanta police charged him with shooting a man. Chaka’s legal team is claiming that the shooting was in self-defense.
The incident occurred in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia is a Stand Your Ground state, Media Take Out confirmed.
In the surveillance video, which we posted below, the events leading up to the shooting incident involving Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu were caught on tape.
Chaka, 52, and two other men were shot during a scuffle outside Chaka’s restaurant and lounge in Buckhead on June 26.
Artez Benton, a 23 year old college graduate, was killed when Chaka allegedly discharged his weapon.
The Atlanta police charged Chaka with murder and other crimes on Sept. 13. No one else was charged.
Shanae claims that Chaka was attacked by five men who waited for him outside his Apt 4B restaurant. Social media reports say the men were refused entry to the restaurant, where reservations are required to get in.
Chaka’s lawyer says the video evidence should clear him.
In a statement posted on Obafemi’s Instagram, Gabe Banks, a lawyer for the longtime music executive, said that Obafemi was “disappointed” in the APD’s decision to bring charges against him. Banks said the evidence clearly shows Zulu — who was injured in the incident — “was forced to defend himself” while being attacked by at least four other people in the June incident.
“It is not lost on Mr. Zulu that someone lost his life, but had Mr. Zulu not lawfully defended himself, Mr. Zulu would have been killed that night,” Banks said,
The video is a bit inconclusive. There is no question that Zulu was jumped. The question seems to be if he shot while he was being jumped OR after they beat him up, he shot them after the attack was over.
