Has anyone become more unlikeable in such a short period than Russell Wilson?
Channing Crowder was right.
This has nothing to do with him being a great father and husband; you can be those things and still be an utterly annoying cornball. Wilson always finds a way to make it about him, even after he didn’t play for a week.
Denver Broncos star quarterback Russell Wilson said he intends to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
Wilson, who missed last Sunday’s loss to the Jets because of a hamstring injury, told reporters Wednesday that he feels great and is “ready to roll.” The nine-time Pro Bowler said he did rehab exercises on the plane during the Broncos’ eight-hour flight to London.
Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett also said Wednesday that Wilson was trending toward being available to play in Wembley Stadium.
Wilson suffered the hamstring injury this month during Denver’s loss to the Chargers on “Monday Night Football.” He was limited in practice last week but ultimately was held out of Sunday’s game by the Broncos, who started Brett Rypien in their 16-9 loss.
Here is the latest crazy thing he has said that has people rolling their eyes.
Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett said earlier this week that Wilson was “trending toward” playing against Jacksonville, then added Wednesday that the QB did “quite a bit” in the first day of prep for the Jaguars. Not only that, but Wilson told reporters that he used the flight to London for his own exercise, claiming to spend four of the eight hours of travel both stretching and working out on the plane. While other players slept, Wilson was doing high-knees up and down the aisle, per DNVR.
As you can imagine, social media is lighting him up for probably lying AGAIN.
I initially thought this was a fake account because the quote was so unbelievable, but it is true.
