Baby Racks has been kicked out by Gucci Mane for dissing Houston for rapper Takeoff’s murder. That was fast!
Vlad got the details;
Last month, Gucci Mane and Baby Racks released a music video for “Look Ma I did It.” The music video helped Baby Racks gain notoriety and serious traction on Spotify. The collaborative effort was likely intended to be a prelude to Baby Rack joining Gucci Mane’s imprint, 1017 Records. The inevitable signing was made official on November 2nd, but hours later, Gucci Mane fired him from 1017 Records. The turn of events reportedly stems from a series of comments that Baby Racks made regarding the role that the city of Houston played in Takeoff’s death.
“I’m definitely not fw houston after that DONT BOOK ME CAUE BABY RACKS AT COMING,” Baby Racks wrote.
He continued,”Y’all mad cause I said I ain’t coming to Houston lmao f*ck Houston.”
When the tweets landed on his former boss’s radar, the consequences were swift and straight to the point.
“Congratulations to Babyracks1017, [the] first artist to get signed and dropped in a day. That dude is not signed to 1017,” Gucci Mane wrote.
“Congratulations to Baby Racks. Appreciate the video. Appreciate flying me and my team out. I appreciate that check Atlantic records sent. Thank you, Gucci. I’ma free agent now,” Baby Racks wrote in response to the firing. “YoungBoy, get at me. Yo Gotti, wassup. Jeezy, wassup. Holla at me. Qcm_p, wassup wit’ it. Rick Ross, wassup.”
An armed man, standing just feet away from Takeoff and Quavo moments before the fatal shots, is now a person of interest in the rapper’s death … TMZ has learned.
We obtained this video — a new angle of what went down only seconds prior to the gunfire — and you can see a man dressed in black, with a black satchel and a handgun in his right hip pocket.
You can very clearly see the weapon in the man’s pocket — he has his hand on it — as Quavo was involved in the heated discussion that preceded the gunfire.
In fact, Quavo, in the bright orange shirt, walks behind the man 2 seconds before the first shot is fired.
Now, there’s nothing in the video proving the man fired the first shot, but about 5 seconds later he is seen raising his weapon and seemingly firing it. It’s unclear where Takeoff or Quavo were in relation to him at that moment.
