Steph Curry, LeBron James And Kevin Durant’s Former Trainer Rob McClanaghan Arrested On Drugging Women

Former NBA trainer who worked with Steph Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant has been arrested on drugging and rape charges.

According to the police via the Daily Mail, “McClanaghan was arrested in Rhode Island on Friday following an alleged rape in Downtown Boston.”

A trainer who’s worked with multiple NBA stars has been arrested and charged with rape and drugging for intercourse, according to a Boston Police Department statement.

Rob McClanaghan, 43, has a list of previous clients which include Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant and Golden State Warriors champ Steph Curry, according to his website.

He was detained in East Greenwich, Rhode Island a day after an arrest warrant was issued for charges of rape and drugging for intercourse.

‘This investigation and subsequent arrest are a result of an investigation by the Boston Police S*xual Assault Unit and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office,’ the statement continued.

McClanaghan, of Warwick, Rhode Island, also lists disgraced Nets star Kyrie Irving, Lakers’ Russell Westbrook and MVP Derrick Rose as among those he’s worked with.

McClanaghan moved to coaching after three years playing with Syracuse University men’s basketball team as a walk-on.

The trainer reportedly coached alongside Boston Celtics’ interim coach Joe Mazzulla at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island.

The Celtics said in a statement that McClanaghan is not connected to the NBA team, reports WCVB.

McClanaghan will reportedly be indicted in court in Rhode Island Monday, according to the same source.

As well as coaching he provides consulting services and carries out corporate talks. McClanaghan published a book called Net Work three years ago which includes a foreword by Curry.

The pair have been pictured together on McClanaghan’s Instagram profile following the basketball star’s 2021-22 championship success with the Warriors.

I am sure Steph wants him to take down that photo now.
