Caitlin Thielen, the wife of Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen following the Vikings’ defeat to the New York Giants at home on Sunday, hopped on Instagram and announced that her husband might be done with the Minnesota Vikings.
She wrote;
“And just like that the season and our time here in MN might be at an end. Super proud of your attitude this season and always fighting.”

Following the Minnesota Vikings’ Wild Card loss to the New York Giants at home on Sunday, Caitlin Thielen, wife of Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, posted an emotional message to her Instagram Story that read the following
“And just like that the season and our time here in MN might be at an end. Super proud of your attitude this season and always fighting.”
Thielen will be 33-years-old by the start of next season. Whether this means he’s retiring or on the verge of getting traded or released remains to be seen, but it doesn’t sounds like we’ll be seeing him in Vikings purple next season.
If that is in fact the case, Thielen will finish his career in Minnesota with 534 catches for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns. Not too shabby for a guy who wasn’t even drafted.
The Vikings have to decide if they want to keep Thielen before the March deadline because his contract becomes guaranteed after that. If they cut him, they still have to deal with some dead cap, but they might be looking to go younger with the WR opposite of Justin Jefferson, who is quickly coming up on a massive contract extension.
