According to TMZ, ex-NFL quarterback Michael Vick said there’s no personal beef between himself and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and that the pair are still as close as they’ve always been. Vick had some pretty controversial words of advice for Lamar during a Kickoff show earlier this month. Advice that had many scratching their heads, including Robert Griffin III.
“Anyone saying Lamar Jackson should just ‘brace it up and go play’ REGARDLESS of the extent of his knee injury needs to get their head out of their a*s,” Griffin said after taking to social media.
Lamar revealed on Twitter that he suffered a Grade 2 PCL injury during his game against the Denver Broncos. As a result, he missed the Playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Ravens ultimately suffered a loss.
Lamar’s been the center of attention in Baltimore, as he’s been pushing for a long-term contract extension with the organization. It’s unknown right now whether progress has been made between the two parties, but Vick said that the team would be fools to let him walk out their doors. “Good quarterbacks are hard to find, I will say that. Lamar’s a guy when you walk into the stadium and you got a chance to win, you know you got a chance with Lamar.”
Vick says he and Lamar haven’t spoken but he is sure it is fine.
Vick, though, tells us he knows Lamar isn’t trippin’ over it at all … saying even though the two haven’t spoken since he made the remarks, he believes the Baltimore QB knew exactly what he was trying to say.
“We cool, everything is all love,” Vick said. “Now, RG3 might have taken it the wrong and his situation was a little different.”
It might not be love considering Vick hasn’t spoken to him, and RG3’s situation was very much the same.
