50 Cent is voicing out how Master P manipulated him in the early days of his music career and according to 50, Master P out-negotiated on the terms for his first tour.
According to VladTV;
During a sit down on Big Boy’s Neighborhood earlier this month, 50 Cent weighed in on the recent quarrel between Master P and his son Romeo and how he didn’t consider their issues to run as deeply as those between himself and his son Marquise.
But 50 also discussed Master P’s prowess as a businessman and negotiator as he detailed being outnegotiated on the terms for his first tour which came about through Master P.
“What I’ll say about P is he was slick,” 50 Cent explained. “He came, he gave me the money for the eight shows, right? We did four of them. He said, ‘Aw man, something happened we gonna have to take a break. We’ll just come back and do the other four later.’ When I came back to do the other four, I had already sold two million records. He had already paid me so I had to do the shows. He knew! He was like, ‘This muthaf****’s on fire! This is gonna go off.’”
That sounds like a smart businessman to me. P knew 50 was hot so he let things simmer knowing that when they went back on tour he would make even more money. I wouldn’t even call that scamming or being slick, it is just taking a look at the situation and seeing the much bigger picture at hand.
P has always seen the bigger picture and that is what has made him such a smart businessman over the years. The music industry is more about business than talent. I learned that a very long time ago.
