Boxer Gervonta Davis Sued For Allegedly Punching Parking Attendant in Chest

Boxer Gervonta Davis just announced his April 22nd fight with Ryan Garcia, but he can’t escape his legal troubles.

At least this time, it doesn’t have anything to do with the law but a lawsuit from a parking attendant that accuses Davis of punching him in the chest over a disagreement over his car keys.

The New York Post has the details.

Boxing superstar and lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis impatiently cursed out and sucker-punched a parking lot attendant at a Manhattan garage while waiting for his car, a new lawsuit alleges.

Attendant Arturo Jimenez claims the 28-year-old boxer was staying at the Hotel Continental in Times Square across the street from the Edison Park Fast Garage on West 44th Street when he came to collect his Cadillac Escalade on March 8, 2022, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit from Thursday.

Jimenez had just started his shift and was getting another car out when Davis approached, asking for his car keys, the filing says.

But Jimenez didn’t know Davis had asked for his car from another employee – prompting the fighter to allegedly say “stop f–king playing with me” before punching Jimenez in the chest.

This adds to the long list of legal troubles for Davis, who just pleaded guilty to a hit and run. Davis is also dealing with two different assault accusations for his baby mama and now this lawsuit from the parking attendant.

None of this has affected Davis in the ring, where he remains undefeated. Still, you have to wonder if the weight of all this, including a pending jail sentence, will cause him to lose any focus while getting prepared for his fight against Ryan Garcia.

Tank has not commented on the latest lawsuit from the parking attendant. Always remember there are two and likely three sides to every story.
