Brittany Mahomes Demands An Apology For People Who Didn’t Think Chiefs Would Win Super Bowl

Members of the Chiefs community are taking their victory laps, after pulling off another double-digit comeback to win their second Super Bowl in four years. In the case of Brittany Mahomes, who is the fiance of Patrick Mahomes, she’s demanding that all the doubters and naysayers issue public apologies to the Chiefs.

Brittany took to Twitter to say “I think a lot of people need to apologize for what they said about this team at the beginning of this season.” She followed the tweet up with a laughing face emoji, and a smiling face emoji. She also posted on her IG story of how she watched the game, by standing up in her seat cheering for her lover.

Brittany’s sentiments seemed to be a mutually shared one, as Travis Kelce voiced similar thoughts in interviews following not only the Super Bowl, but also the AFC Championship after beating Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

To post the number one offense in the league and go all the way to win the Super Bowl, all after trading away Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, is nothing short of impressive. This team deserves its day in the sun. That said, if anyone deserves any apologies thrown their way, it’s the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs were one of the Super Bowl favorites going into this year despite trading away Tyreek Hill. The Eagles weren’t even favored to make it out of the NFC. It was the Bucs, Cowboys, Vikings, and 49ers. The Eagles put together one of the best group of pass rushers we’ve seen in the last decade, despite the fact they didn’t put it together in the Super Bowl. What’s more, Jalen Hurts showed remarkable growth this year. Not just as a runner, but also a passer. A leader of men. The last quarterback we’ve seen make this type of jump was Josh Allen, and even he hasn’t seen a Super Bowl yet.

Patrick Mahomes made sure to give Hurts his just due respect.

“If there was any doubters left, there shouldn’t be now. I mean the way he stepped up on this stage and ran through the ball — whatever it took for his team to win — that was a special performance. I don’t want it to get lost in the loss that they had. It was a special performance by him, man and make sure you appreciate that when you look back on this game.”
