Super Bowl LVII ended with the Kansas City Chiefs coming away with their second Lombardi trophy in only four years. With some analysts speculating that they wouldn’t even sniff the Playoffs this year after trading away Tyreek Hill and starting more than a handful of rookies, this win will be one Chiefs fans won’t ever forget about. But for many other fans, it was more so the halftime performance that caught their eye, with major credit going to 9x Grammy Awards winner Rihanna.
This year’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance featured Rihanna, and several of her all-time hits. The performance also came with the announcement of Rihanna being pregnant. It was a performance to remember, and according to Bleacher Report and FOX Sports, the numbers reflect the sentiment.
Rihanna’s halftime performance reportedly had more viewers (118.7 million) than the actual game itself (113 million). While it may have been one to remember for many, for former WWE and WCW Champion Goldberg it apparently was one to forget.
According to Jeremy Lambert of Fightful.com, Goldberg complained about the performance on his CarCast podcast. “I thought Rihanna was fricken horrible,” he stated bluntly. “I was disgusted by it, let’s just say that.”
When his co-host Matt “The Motorator” D’Andria shared his opinion that the performance was “boring” to him, Goldberg responded by saying, “That’s the understatement of the year. I thought it was disgusting. I thought it was horrible.”
Is there anything about this year’s halftime that this man actually DID like? Well, he did like the Kia commercial at least. As well as the National Anthem song performed by Chris Stapleton since he didn’t “grab his crotch every 15 seconds” or “make it about himself” according to him.
It’s of course, his opinion. But sheesh, tell us how you really feel why don’t ya, Goldberg. Why not just, you know, don’t watch the halftime if you hated it that much?
Plenty of people feel disgusted by Goldberg’s in-ring performance for the last 30 years, but you don’t see us complaining.
