The Cowboys made some somewhat shocking news last week after they announced they were releasing RB Ezekiel Elliot.
The move makes sense for the Cowboys because Zeke’s production didn’t match his contract anymore and Tony Pollard has shown he can be the feature back at a much lower price.
Now, Zeke will have to find a new home and he’s apparently narrowed his decision down to a few teams.
There are plenty of teams that could use Zeke’s services but he has cut his list to 3 and will look to make a decision on a landing spot as early as next week according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 3 teams include the Jets, Bengals, and Eagles.
The Jets don’t really make sense considering they have a young RB in Breece Hall who showed a lot of promise so it would be a surprise if he signed there. The Bengals lost Semaja Perine to the Broncos and haven’t really decided what they’re going to do with Joe Nixon so it could work out there. That leaves the division rival Eagles. They no longer have Miles Sanders who signed with the Panthers so the Eagles seems like the best fit out of the 3.
We won’t have to wait too much longer to find out where he’ll be.
Cowboys’ RB Ezekiel Elliott has narrowed down his options about where to play to the Eagles, Jets and Bengals, and he would like to make his decision about where to sign by the end of next week, per sources.
