Bryce James On His Brother Bronny James’ Cardiac Arrest Scare

The sports world was shocked when reports of LeBron James‘ first child Bronny James’ cardiac arrest complications made headlines on Monday, July 24.

The up-and-coming baller is currently recovering after the tragic incident, and as expected, his whole family is supporting him as best as they can in these difficult times.

Bronny’s younger brother, Bryce James, did not share any other information aside from the family press release asking for prayers and privacy, however, he did share an old photo of him and his now-sick brother with a heart emoji to indicate they will pull through together.

Bryce James is standing by his brother Bronny James’ side after the 18-year-old suffered cardiac arrest on Monday.

Bryce, 16, posted a picture of him and Bronny walking side-by-side while looking down at a phone on his Instagram story on Tuesday night.

A red heart emoji was placed on top of the photo of the brothers.

Bronny, entering his freshman year at the University of Southern California, was at a Monday morning practice when he went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital after a 911 call was made at 9:26 am from the Galen Center at USC.

A representative for the James family confirmed the news on Tuesday and gave an update on Bronny’s condition.

“Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information,” the statement read.

“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Bronny entered the USC men’s basketball team as a four-star recruit after tearing it up at Sierra Canyon High School, where he and Bryce were teammates.

Bryce is not the only one showing support for his brother during the scary time, many stars in the basketball community have also sent their well-wishes to Bronny.

“Cookie and I are praying for LeBron and Savannah’s son Bronny after hearing he suffered a cardiac arrest. We are praying and hoping he makes a full and speedy recovery,” NBA legend Magic Johnson tweeted.

“Prayers to Bronny & The James family as well. here for you guys just like you have been for me my entire process,” Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest on the field last season, tweeted Bills star Damar Hamlin.

Bronny’s diagnosis is not yet out, however, social media and right-wing conspiracy theories are convinced the COVID-19 vaccine is to blame for rampaging in young athletes suffering critical conditions such as cardiac arrest despite doctors debunking those rumors, giving other medical conditions that could cause such conditions. According to them, excess consumption of energy drinks could be blamed for the medical emergency.
