Watch a Brutal Indoor Football League Brawl Between Fans And Players In The Stands

The Indoor Football League just recorded the most gruesome incident ever, and no, it wasn’t between players, but between a player and a fan which later ended up in more players joining. Leon O’Neal Jr. started the chaos when he jumped over the stands to attack a fan, allegedly, the fan said something to offend him.

The incident took place during the Arizona Rattlers and Massachusetts Pirates indoor game, 32 seconds toward the end of the match. Leon O’Neal Jr. was the first player to jump over the stand to confront the fan for unknown reasons, players like Chris Ingram, Charles Williams, and many more joined in later, making the already chaotic incident more chaotic. Fans were disturbed by the frantic incident, and many were seen being led out of fear for their lives.

Management of the match did not hesitate but ejected five players immediately before moving on to suspend O’Neal Jr., Chris Ingram, Charles Williams, and Pirates coach Patrick Pass indefinitely.

The Indoor Football League has just had their Malice at the Palace moment.

During the final minute of the matchup between the Arizona Rattlers and the Massachusetts Pirates, chaos would erupt that would spill into the stands.

With 32.7 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Pirates defensive back Leon O’Neal Jr. leaped into the stands to confront an apparent heckler.

Security tried to get the player from out of the stands, but more players would jump in as chaos ensued. Punches were thrown as several more players on the Pirates jumped into the stands.

A woman was seen comforting a crying young after the fight. Five players and at least one fan were ejected after the melee.

The Indoor Football League announced that O’Neal Jr., teammates Chris Ingram and Charles Williams, and Pirates coach Patrick Pass have been suspended indefinitely.

Under zero circumstance can you ever go beyond the wall and into the stands,” Indoor Football League commissioner Todd Tryon said in a statement.

“This is a one-time incident that does not reflect what the IFL stands for. We are a family-friendly league that offers great sports entertainment, and we will continue to build on that moving forward. What was a very exciting game was marred by the actions of a few.

“These actions will never be tolerated and are being fully dealt with.”

The Rattlers will wrap up their regular season next Saturday when they take on the defending champion Northern Arizona Wranglers at the Footprint Center.

It is not clear what the fan said that enraged Leon O’Neal Jr. enough to ditch the match and resort to an attack that could cost him his career. I just wish whatever it was he defended himself against was worth it. Violence solves nothing, let’s be prudent in our dealings.
