King Von was shot dead in 2020, and his family had a mural done in his memory at 6435 South King Drive in Chicago. That mural currently has the most expensive tour and sightseeing fee in the country, and according to residents, not even the Hollywood Tour or the Notre Dame charges come close.
A resident of the neighborhood recently shared a celebratory post online about how he charged $200 per person and got $400 a day for helping two tourists tour the mural of the late rapper.
VladTV got more;
When visiting Los Angeles, California, a sightseer from out of town can book a “Hollywood Tour” for $95. In Egypt, pyramid tours cost about $23, and in France, people can get a guided tour of the historic Notre Dame Cathedral for around 19 bucks. But when it comes to visiting the late King Von’s old stomping grounds on the South Side of Chicago, some people who are not gang affiliated have been known to shell out loads of cash just for an up close and personal glimpse. Since the emergence of Chief Keef, O-Block has become a tourist attraction. The passing of King Von, followed by the creation of his memorial mural, has only made O-Block all the more appealing to outsiders.
A Chicago man recently went viral claiming that tourists paid him $400 just to be escorted to King Von’s mural located on the side of Parkway Supermarket (at 6435 South King Drive), across the street from the famous Parkway Gardens apartment complex. Shortly after the business transaction, he posted pictures with the following caption, “Just made them give me $200 each [sunglasses emoji].”
Well, it appears the 26-year-old late rapper will likely make America more tourist-friendly with all the notable places and people in history.
