Andrew Tate’s House Arrest Terminated by Bucharest Court!
A release order from a Romanian court has allowed Andrew Tate, the self-proclaimed misogynist, to be released from house arrest, who is currently awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking.
Tate, the social media personality with a reputation for expressing misogynistic views, has been subjected to court action and has been placed under judicial control, a less restrictive measure. In a written ruling, the Bucharest Court of Appeals stated that it “replaces the house arrest measure with that of judicial control for a period of 60 days from August 4 until October 2”.
In June, Tate and his brother Tristan, who possess dual US and British citizenship, were charged alongside two Romanian female suspects with human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang for the sexual exploitation of women. The accused have refuted the allegations.
According to the latest ruling, the four suspects are granted the liberty to leave their house but remain confined to Bucharest and the adjacent Ilfov county. The suspects must regularly check in with the police.
It is forbidden for them to try to approach the purported victims. Through their lawyer, the Tate brothers expressed gratitude to their supporters for displaying “great resilience and patience.”
Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Allegations: Tate Brothers Face Trial in Romania!
According to Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, the four defendants were accused of establishing a criminal organization in 2021 with the intention of engaging in human trafficking in Romania, the US, and Britain.
As per the agency’s allegations, seven female victims were deceived and brought into Romania, including those who were “misled” by “false declarations of marriage and affection.”
The purported victims were transported to structures in Ilfov county, where prosecutors claimed they endured sexual exploitation and physical abuse at the hands of the gang.
The statement claims that one defendant is facing accusations of committing rape against a woman twice in March 2022.
Having lived in Romania since 2017, Tate and his brother have denied all the allegations and are awaiting trial.
