Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte 2 Main Event Rematch Gets Cancelled After Boxer Fails Drug Test By VADA

The rematch between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte has been called off after ‘The Body Snatcher’ has been found breaking anti-doping protocols.

AJ vs Whyte 2 was scheduled to meet each other at the O2 Arena on August 12 in a DAZN Pay-Per-View. Having taken their vile rivalry from the past, the rematch was already the talk of the town.

Matchroom Boxing took to social media and announced why the rematch has been canceled. Per reports, Voluntary Anti-Doping Association found Dillian Whyte reflecting adverse analytical findings in a random test conducted under an anti-doping protocol.

This isn’t the first time Whyte has failed an anti-doping test. He has been found guilty of substance abuse in boxing in the past which may put a dent in his name.

A complete investigation will begin against Dillian Whyte and if find guilty, the former heavyweight title contender can be handed over with suspension. Meanwhile, it eaves Anthony Joshua with no opponent for a while.

Matchroom Boxing can still host the event if they find an immediate replacement for Anthony Joshua, but that would be a demanding task for Eddie Hearn’s company.
