Whether in jest or not, Dallas Mavericks owner said that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James would desire to be traded to Big D on an edition of The Really Good Podcast with Bobbi Althoff.
In terms of the NBA Draught, free agency, and trades, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been extremely busy this offseason. Nevertheless, the Mavs general manager found some time in his hectic schedule to join Bobbi Althoff, a popular TikTok user, on The Really Good Podcast to talk about a variety of off-the-wall subjects.
Cuban and Althoff discuss the prospect of her attending a Mavs game soon approximately ten minutes into the chat. Althoff requested Cuban to suggest some basketball players after stating that she liked basketball players, and he offered LeBron James. Althoff then inquired as to James’ status with the Mavericks, to which Cuban (jokingly) replied:
“No, he’s not (on the Mavericks),” “He wants to be.”

Now, before some Mavs fans overreact to that, Cuban did respond to the question of whether he was attempting to get James to visit Dallas by saying, “No, we have this guy named Luka Doncic.”
Shams Charania on Kyrie Irving trying to recruit his buddy
Shams Charania of The Athletic earlier this summer said that Kyrie Irving, who re-signed with the Mavs this summer on a three-year, $126 million deal, made an effort to lure James to Dallas. It’s not impossible to imagine James wanting to play with Irving and Doncic before he retires, even if it’s not in Los Angeles, even though we never learned how he really feels about that.
Don’t take Cuban’s remarks on a podcast too seriously; it’s known for not taking things seriously. However, it attracted our attention, and unless James signs a new contract extension soon, he will be an unrestricted free agent next summer and able to sign with any team he chooses. And don’t laugh at that part.
