The body discovered on the shores of Malibu Lagoon has been identified as that of 32-year-old up-and-coming rapper Murphy of Sylmar. The barrel was discovered by an unknown man on Sunday and upon opening it because of its suspicious weight, he found an unpleasant scene and called the LAPD.
The LA County medical examiner has now identified the body as that of Murphy of Sylmarhas, however, they have not discovered the cause of death or from where the body emerged.
According to reports, the body of a man was found stuffed inside of a barrel after it washed ashore in Malibu.
The LA County medical examiner identified the body as 32-year-old Javonnta Murphy of Sylmar in the San Fernando Valley. The barrel was discovered by a lifeguard on Monday around 10AM who opened the barrel to find Murphy stuffed inside. Murphy’s body was found naked but the cause of death has yet to be disclosed.
Murphy’s social media accounts indicate that he was local rapper, singer-songwriter.
Murphy’s family of six is disheartened by the development, according to them, he was not a violent person, nor was he ganglike. However, the police are doing their best to keep the case from turning cold. May he rest well!
