Conor McGregor may not face Michael Chandler on his UFC Return. Although the matchup is still valid and possible, the Irishman has boasted about having more interesting fights on his way.
Michael Chandler is clearly not happy with the current situation. The firmer Bellator lightweight champion has been demanding a scrap against ‘Notorious’ since he entered into the UFC.
Conor McGregor finally gave his attention to Chandler as the two collided as coaches in the TUF 31 season. Now that the TUF coaches should fight, Conor McGregor took to social media and answered why Michael Chandler isn’t interesting to him anymore.
This dude… I remember when his words held an immense amount of weight. Just tell the truth. https://t.co/PGx26gUe72

The UFC two-weight champion wrote, “I’ll do it, if they [UFC] want, no prob. I don’t think they want him [Michael Chandler] no more tho. There’s loads of juicy fights around and my return date is my return date. I never gave a fu*k about who it was. Ever. I’ll fight anyone. I’ll even fly them to me, ask [Paul] malinaggi. Flown in and bet around.”
It remains to be seen whether UFC can put Conor McGregor against Michael Chandler inside the cage. Meanwhile, ‘Iron’ already seemed vexed about it.
He reacted to McGregor’s statement and wrote, “This dude… I remember when his words held an immense amount of weight. Just tell the truth.”
Conor McGregor has recently desired to face Justin Gaethje for the BMF strap right after ‘The Highlight’ knocked out Dustin Poirier at UFC 291.
He also had a banter with Charles Oliveira on social media. That said, Michael Chandler actually seems one of the many options ahead for ‘Notorious’.

However, things didn’t go in his favor. McGregor improperly planted his leg and broke the ankle, losing the fight via doctor stoppage. Several people thought it would be over for the UFC star’s MMA career.
Beating all odds, Conor McGregor has recovered completely and looks likely to make his comeback in the final months of 2023 or early 2024. But he is yet to be enlisted into USADA and announce anything officially.
