The NBA has always tried to figure out ways to increase the popularity and exposure of the league and for the most part it has worked.
The league has become more popular around the world and more recently, the NBA has done a great job of staying relevant throughout the whole year.
It’s not enough though.
The newest thing being added to the NBA is the new In Season tournament. It’s a tournament that will happen on Tuesdays and Fridays in November with group play on those days and the teams with the best records will go into the official tournament quarterfinals which will then lead to a Final Four being played in Las Vegas.
It has be met with a lot of skepticism but only time will tell how well it works. The winners of the tournament will receive $500,000, second place will receive $200,000, third place $100,000, and fourth place $50,000. 
On Tuesday, the NBA released the schedule for the first ever In Season Tournament beginning on November 3rd with 14 teams competing on the opening night.
This is very innovative and it will be very interesting to see how much players will care about this.
