On Joe Burrow Practicing the Next Week, Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor Says, “We’ll See.”

Since pulling his calf in July, Joe Burrow has not participated in practice. Before the start of the season, will Burrow be back on the practice pitch the following week?

Zac Taylor, the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, merely said, “We’ll see,” as reported by ESPN’s Ben Baby on Tuesday. On July 28, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport stated that Burrow was anticipated to miss “several weeks,” and Taylor has done nothing since to offer a more precise date.

Prior to the Bengals’ first preseason game, Burrow engaged in some jogging and throwing, which generated some optimism, but subsequent and prior progress reports have been a bit hazy. Although there haven’t been many details, Taylor’s worry doesn’t seem to be particularly prevalent either.

“I think he has a very healthy body,”  “And I’m encouraged by that.” Coach said about Burrow.

Can Burrow make a comeback sooner than expected ?

In addition to wanting to make a comeback, Burrow wants to reach a deal on a contract extension, and a very significant one at that. Taylor, though, soon dispelled any theory that Burrow had been barred off the practice field because of any contract disputes.

When questioned if Burrow’s lack of practice was in any way related to the absence of an extension, Taylor scurriedly answered, “No.”

Additionally on Tuesday, the Bengals released veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian, making backup Jake Browning available. Taylor remarked, “I feel pretty good about Jake being the No. 2.”

So, when will Burrow return to practice? Will Joey Franchise play in Week 1’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns, their bitter rivals? Will Browning start for the Bengals in Week 1?
