Things in Philly seem to be getting a little worse for the Sixers.
James Harden, while on an Adidas tour in China, made headlines after he called Sixers president Daryl Morey a liar and said that he would never play for a team he’s involved in again.
This stems from, reportedly, Harden not getting the max contract that he thought he would get. He instead opted into the last year of his deal and expected to get traded but that hasn’t happened yet. And things don’t seem to be getting any better now that the Sixers have ended trade talks and expect to have Harden show up at the beginning of training camp.
One of the latest reports have suggested that Harden will make things very uncomfortable for the Sixers when he shows up. Now, according to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus, the reason all of this started was because Harden in fact did expect a max contract after he took less last off season.
James Harden reportedly expected to receive a max contract from Daryl Morey and the Philadelphia 76ers, per @EricPincus

We are about a month and a half before training camp starts so it could get very ugly if things don’t get better soon.
