Ex-Mets ace Matt Harvey is single and now on the market!
According to reports, his girlfriend Monica Clarke has dumped him and the reason is Matt Harvey has become obsessed with his new job that he barely has time for Monica. Women are attention seekers and if you aren’t ready to sacrifice and spend time with them, forget it!
It’s time for a long Dark Knight of the Soul, it seems.
Page Six hears that the Mets aren’t the only ones who’ve had enough of Matt Harvey, and his whirlwind girlfriend Monica Clarke has dumped him as well.
As we previously reported, the former Amazins ace and Clarke — a model who moonlights as the head of membership for white-hot downtown club Zero Bond — have been inseparable for most of the summer.
But much like his pitching arm, it was too hot not to cool down.
“It just didn’t make sense overall,” says a source. “He just became obsessed with his new job.”
One-time mound phenom Harvey — who got a ban after admitting to taking cocaine and pain pills during his days in Flushing — has reinvented himself as a real-estate exec, and landed a gig with property giant Newmark.
In May, The Post’s Steve Cuozzo reported on Harvey’s new role as a managing director in Newmark’s Capital Markets Strategies division.
Back in July, insiders told us Clarke and the Dark Knight had known each other “for years” but had become romantic in the spring.
The two will likely continue to see each other often as Harvey is a frequent visitor to the Scott Sartiano-owned members club where she works.
Harvey — who was known almost as much for his off-the-field antics as his athletics — dated a string of stars including Adriana Lima and Victoria’s Secret Angel Devon Windsor, Sports Illustrated model Anne V and a number of other bombshells.
Clarke, meanwhile, was previously linked to “Outlander” hottie Sam Heughan.
Harvey testified in an investigation into the drug death of former LA Angels teammate Tyler Skaggs and admitted to providing him with Percocet on one occasion.
He also admitted to using cocaine and Percocet himself.
The confession earned him a 60-game ban.
He left the Mets in 2018.
Now that Matt Harvey has been dumped by Monica Clarke, who is next to date him? Probably he’s gonna find one Instagram model to warm his bed and move on from Monica’s hurt. Matt is yet to cough about the wild rumor that he has been dumped.
