Alabama Exits The Ap Top 10 for the First Time Since 2015

After Week 3, Texas rose to No. 3 in the AP Top 25, but Alabama is out of its comfort zone. After the Seminoles defeated Boston College 31-29 on the road, the Longhorns pulled ahead of Florida State. Following a fourth-quarter deadlock of 10-10 between the two teams, Texas defeated Wyoming 31-10.

Following a 24-14 victory against South Carolina, Georgia held onto the top spot, while Michigan held onto the No. 2 spot following a 31-6 triumph over Bowling Green. Before scoring 21 points in a row to easily secure the victory in the fourth quarter, Georgia trailed 14-3 at the half.

The Bulldogs received 57 votes in the first spot. Florida State received one, Texas received three, and Michigan received two. Prior to Ohio State, Penn State, Washington, and Notre Dame, USC is ranked fifth. The positions of all five teams were maintained from the previous week. After defeating Hawaii, Oregon rose three spots to No. 10, while Utah climbed one spot to No. 11.

After a sloppy 17-3 victory over South Florida, Alabama slid three positions from No. 10 to No. 13, trailing No. 12 LSU. Since the 2015 campaign, Alabama hasn’t been ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll. After losing to Ole Miss at home in Week 3 eight years ago, the Crimson Tide fell 10 positions to No. 12. The following week, Alabama slid to No. 13, but then climbed back into the top 10 to win the national championship.

Ins and Outs of the AP 25 rankings

The only other club to drop out of the rankings this week was Kansas State, which lost to Missouri on a last-second 61-yard field goal.

No. 25 After defeating Tennessee, Florida returned for the first time since September 24 of the previous campaign.

Billy Napier, the coach of Florida, remarked following the game, “It supports your approach, what you’re selling to a degree.” “As a leader, you want to achieve that. That’s a lot more enjoyable.”

The Vols fell 12 spots to 23rd. Florida State, Miami, and Florida are all ranked for the first time since September 17, 2017, thanks to the Gators’ return to the AP Top 25.
