NFLPA Executive Director Lloyd Howell Demands The NFL Rip Up All Of The Turf In The League & Replace It With Grass After Aaron Rodgers Injury

It’s been a couple of days since Aaron Rodgers season ending achilles injury and Jets fans and players are still a little in shock.

Rodgers made a statement vowing to come back so after he heals up but there are lots of people who have doubts since he will be 40 and it’s a tough injury for anyone to come back from. He is an all time great QB so there really isn’t any reason to doubt him.

Will he come back to playing on turf at Metlife Stadium though?

More than likely yes but the NLFPA and a lot of players really don’t want that.

Metlife is considered the worst NFL stadium in the league by an overwhelming majority of players and the turf is a big reason why. There really aren’t any players that like playing on turf because it’s prone to cause more injuries than grass but there are reasons for it that won’t change even though the NFL makes plenty of money for each team to find a way to have real grass on their fields.

The NFLPA isn’t going to let up though. Their new leader Lloyd Howell is demanding that teams get rid of the turf and put grass in for the players safety.

“Moving all stadium fields to high quality natural grass surfaces is the easiest decision the NFL can make,”

“The players overwhelmingly prefer it and the data is clear that grass is simply safer than artificial turf.”

“This is worth the investment and it simply needs to change now,”

“I’m sick of this,” he added. “Do better!”
