Odell Beckham Jr., a seasoned wide receiver, is preparing for his Baltimore Ravens debut on Sunday but ran into a small hiccup. Beckham was restricted in Thursday’s practice due to an ankle issue, and the Ravens labelled him as out for Week 1’s matchup against the Houston Texans, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
The Ravens are probably being cautious with Beckham because he is about to play in his first game in over a year after missing all of 2022 to heal from an ACL tear sustained in Super Bowl LVI while playing for the Los Angeles Rams.
OBJ laughed off the news as nothing worth dwelling upon in a tweet hinting he perhaps was fine.
Believe everything on the internet …😭😎

OBJ feels like a rookie coming into new season
Beckham is excited about the opportunity to play again in a competitive environment again. He told the reporters
“The whole thing feels like a reset for me,” “There’s been a lot of like deja vu moments of little things happened. It just kind of feels reminiscent of my rookie year in a sense — just the feeling of the excitement that I have to play football and just a new opportunity, a new life. So I don’t know what to expect, but I’m excited.”
The 30-year-old is slated to be a focal feature of the team’s new passing offence under the direction of star quarterback Lamar Jackson after inking a one-year contract with Baltimore this offseason. The Ravens are hopeful that Beckham can regain the form that saw him selected to three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2014 to 2016.
Although it is unclear whether Beckham’s ankle injury will hamper him in Sunday’s game against the Texans, it is reasonable to assume that he will be happy to be playing football once more.
