Social Media Laughs at Shannon Sharpe Calling Stephen A. Smith Skip Multiple Times

Moving on from a position you held for almost seven years implies it will probably take some time for adjustment. Shannon Sharpe, a former “Undisputed” co-host who has since joined ESPN’s “First Take,” just learned this during a conversation with Stephen A. Smith.

As shown on an episode of “First Take,” Molly Qerim questioned Sharpe about if the Chiefs will be on upset alert with Chris Jones in Week 1’s game against the Lions. Sharpe finished his opening statement by making a reference to his former TV friend as he started to respond to the query and shifted the discussion to Stephen A.

Sharpe said “Yes, because if you think about it the Lions were favored to win that division, Skip — excuse me, I’m sorry, Stephen A.”

Jumping from one role to another takes some getting used to. Its even harder if that jumping of roles is on National Television. Stephen A. Smith took the edge of the situation by saying “Its alright , Its alright ” immediately.

Check out some of the Twitter reactions.
