Ruiz was selected by New Orleans in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft from Michigan. In the second quarter at Lambeau Field, Ruiz departed the game as New Orleans led the Packers 14-0.
How do Saints cope with loss of Cesar Ruiz
Andrus Peat, a former Pro Bowl guard, started the game at left guard for the Saints while James Hurst switched to the right guard spot, taking Ruiz’s place. Max Garcia, an interior lineman, and Landon Young, a tackle, will be the only depth options remaining for the Saints.

The offensive line had a difficult start to the season and has already allowed two sacks in this one. After making significant strides in his play from earlier in his career, Ruiz inked a 4-year, $46 million agreement earlier in September.
