Watch Gillie Da Kid Open Up About Preparing His Son YNG Cheese For His Funeral

Gillie Da Kid has opened up about preparing his son YNG Cheese for his funeral and from what he said, losing a child would be a traumatizing experience. Gillie lost his son to gun violence earlier this year and had to appear on the Pivot podcast to talk about how he felt following the painful death of Cheese.

It wouldn’t be a pleasant experience losing a child and I wouldn’t even wish that for my enemy.

Gillie Da Kid tragically lost his son, YNG Cheese, to gun violence earlier this year, which he spoke about while on the Pivot podcast.

When asked about the arc of emotions after losing his son, Gillie spoke about the “worst” moment, when he had to prepare his son’s body for his funeral. Gillie admitted that it was one of the hardest things to see his son’s lifeless body lying there, but he added that he knew he “sent him off right” according to his Islamic faith.

Gillie then stated that while he thought he was a man before his son’s funeral, given how he supports many people, he realized he wasn’t a man. From there, Gillie thanked Freeway for standing by his side throughout the process.

YNG Cheese is dead and gone and I pray he gets all the strength to keep him strong and alive. Life should go on regardless of the situation and I hope Gillie moves on with his life and enjoy it to its fullest.
