After a Humiliating Loss to the Saints, a Patriots Wideout Kendrick Bourne Vents Against the Team

Last week, the Patriots suffered a 35-point defeat in Dallas and have gone 10 quarters without scoring a touchdown.

The squad lost to the New Orleans Saints on their home ground on Sunday because they were unable to score a single point during the game. The New Orleans Saints dominated the New England Patriots 34-0 on Sunday in Foxborough, giving one of their most dominant performances in team history.
Mac Jones was benched in favor of Bailey Zappe for the second consecutive game after being penalized for three turnovers once more.

After Sunday’s game, wide receiver Kendrick Bourne was questioned about what was wrong and said, “I don’t know, man.”. Bourne said, per NESN’s Zack Cox.,

“I keep saying it: I feel like we have to work harder,”  “More effort. We need more effort. And I’m not speaking of anybody. It just feels like we need to want it more. That’s just the energy out there. We need more energy.”

He further called upon his teammates to work harder and be better in general saying,

“It’s all about hard work,”  “I feel like we’ve got to work harder in practice. We’ve got to try harder and just do better individually, personally, and as a group.”

“I feel like the plays were there,”  “We’ve just got to make them. Sometimes we’ve got to make harder catches or whatever it may be, but I feel like the plays were there. A lot of them showed themselves. We’ve just got to finish.”

Only 12 of Mac Jones’ 22 pass attempts for the Patriots’ starting quarterback were completed, resulting in 110 yards and two interceptions. Alvin Kamara scored on a touchdown run to surpass Drew Brees as the Saints’ all-time leading scorer. Derek Carr completed two touchdown throws.

The Patriots are currently 0-3 at Gillette Stadium and 1-4 overall. The Saints now have a 3-2 overall record.
