Since quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury early in the season opener, it is already widely accepted that he will not be able to play in 2023. But it doesn’t mean he’s out of it or that he can’t still make a difference from the sidelines.
On Sunday Night Football, Rodgers attended the game at MetLife Stadium and inspired his teammates. When the schedule was first made public back in May, this game was predicted to be one of the biggest games of the NFL regular season. Rodgers and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had never met before in an NFL game, which explains why.
As anticipated, the Chiefs jumped up to a 17-0 lead early in the game.
Rodgers was pictured on the broadcast with his hands behind his head as the score flashed on the bottom while he was watching from a skybox suite. Then, he became a meme thanks to his admirers.
See this is what I want to see instead of Taylor. Sad Aaron Rodgers brings me joy https://t.co/ep431IFPek

Even though the New York Jets lost the game, they still had a moral victory. Although the Kansas City Chiefs won by a slim margin of 23-20, the game was considerably closer than anticipated.
For the first time since Aaron Rodgers’ injured Achilles ended the team’s genuine Super Bowl ambitions, Zach Wilson displayed excellent play.
Wilson outperformed Patrick Mahomes for lengthy intervals, going 28 of 39 for 245 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He appeared absolutely lost during the first three games of the season, as well as last year when he was benched multiple times, so this development was shocking.
