Davante Adams, the top wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, did his best to remain composed after Monday night’s loss to the Detroit Lions.
At Ford Field, the Raiders were defeated by the Lions 26–14, as Jimmy Garoppolo’s offense was unable to establish any rhythm. Remarkably, Davante Adams, the standout wide receiver, finished with just one reception for eleven yards.
After Jimmy G missed him on a pair of wide-open deep passes, Adams was spotted shouting and hurling his helmet on the sideline late in the fourth quarter.

After the game, Adams further explained his frustration. Adams said
“Honestly, I don’t know what to say at this moment,” “I truly don’t.. I wish I had the words to say something that’s not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context…I truly just don’t know.”

Adams set a Raiders single-season record with 1,516 yards last year. However, he has only caught 47 passes for 539 yards and three touchdowns in the Raiders’ first eight games.
Adams went without a touchdown for the fifth straight game on Monday night.
