Sean McVay, the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, is soon to become a father, so there’s a chance he won’t be in attendance for Sunday’s home Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
McVay disclosed to reporters on Friday that his wife, Veronika, is about to give birth (h/t Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk). If their son arrives on Sunday, according to McVay, he won’t miss this week’s games. McVay said
“Really feel fortunate that it’s been a smooth pregnancy, my wife has been incredible and, so, it hasn’t quite hit me yet,” “He’s active right now, it seems like he’s ready to come at any moment. What a blessing that will be.”

Alper pointed out that McVay omitted to say who would take over as the head coach in his absence. However, considering his priceless head coaching experience with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons, third-year defensive coordinator Raheem Morris seems like a sure bet.
Cooper Kupp coming back a boost for The Rams
The Rams are 2-3 and unquestionably look like playoff candidates despite a demanding schedule and Cooper Kupp being out for the first four games of 2023. After all, all of their defeats (against the dominant Eagles, Bengals, and 49ers) came down to nine points or less.
There’s no knowing how productive the LA offense will be moving forward with Kupp back in the mix and playing alongside rookie wonder Puka Nacua who has been a sensation.
After their Week 8 away game against the Dallas Cowboys, the schedule significantly eases down, and they are only one game out of an NFC wild card place.
The Rams will remain at home after hosting the Cardinals as they get ready for their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7.
