Sauce Gardner is eating back his vomit after making a joke about the “Swifties” on Twitter, now, X after he was “flagged for a very questionable pass interference penalty late in their game that all but sealed the 23-20 victory for the Kansas City Chiefs.”
Now it seems he realized how messy his tweet was and had to get it off Twitter (X).
Sauce Gardner may have deleted his jab at Sunday Night’s officiating just minutes after posting it to ‘X,’ but deep down he probably knows that’s all the time it needed to stay up in order to serve its point.
For those who haven’t been paying attention up to this point, the New York Jets star cornerback was flagged for a very questionable pass interference penalty late in their game that all but sealed the 23-20 victory for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The call was so suspicious that it had many wondering whether there was some shadiness involved.
With Taylor Swift in town to watch her Chiefs, many wondered whether the NFL was doing their part to keep the Swifties happy with another Kansas City win.
Heck, even the NFL seemed to be fueling these conspiracy theories with their own actions.
Sauce Gardner was certainly buying it, based on his message on ‘X’ less than 24 hours later. “Lmaoo maybe if I was a swiftie, the ref wouldn’t of threw the flag,” the Jets’ star wrote in response to a previous post from Dov Kleiman about the NFL posting that the “Chiefs are 2-0 as Swifties” in their Instagram bio.
He later edited the message to read, “Lmaoo maybe if I was a swiftie then…nvm.”
Sauce is smart (and young) enough to know that anything posted on the internet lasts forever. So, yeah, he probably wanted to let all the NFL fans and Swifties alike know exactly how he feels.
Mission accomplished.
Sauce Gardner probably realized he was going to be trashed by Swifties and NFL fans hence hurriedly deleting his tweet to have his peace of mind.
