Do not be misled; the NFL is totally embracing the Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift narrative. Kelce acknowledged last week that it may have been a bit excessive.
Jason Kelce directly questioned his brother on the Kelce brothers’ podcast “New Heights” if he thought the NFL was “overdoing” its coverage of Taylor Swift attending his games.
Travis acknowledged that everyone might feel “overwhelmed” and suggested that the networks may need to reduce some of their activities. Travis Kelce said
“I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching,”. “But at the same time, they’re overdoing it a little bit, especially my situation.”

Travis makes a valid point, but in this case the toothpaste is already out of the tube. Taylor’s attendance at Chiefs games over the past two weeks has caused television ratings to soar, and Travis’ own clothing sales and social media followings have also increased.
We’ll check to see if Swift attends the Minnesota Vikings game this weekend. If so, she should receive a lot of coverage and airtime.
The Gift and the Curse of Taylor Swift.
If you are a hardcore football fan who is annoyed by this or you are someone who thought it was cute at first but the networks have ruined it for you, just be patient this shall pass… pic.twitter.com/PisRaG4xMu
